2025 was a great year for the Silver City Watershed Keepers program! We have continued to protect our local watershed through restoration, education, monitoring, and advocacy. Our watershed is our home. A healthy environment and functioning watershed is vital, not just for wildlife, but also for our human community. If you would like to learn more about the 2025 educational events, monitoring projects, community hikes, and more that we took part in, check out our annual program review on our website: https://silvercitywatershedkeepers.org/2026/01/02/2025-program-year-in-review/

Time to celebrate, Watershed Keepers! Our parent organization, Gila Resources Information Project (GRIP), was awarded the Silver City/Grant County Chamber of Commerce 2025 Community Stewardship Nonprofit of the Year Award! The Watershed Keepers contributed to GRIP's San Vicente Creek River Stewardship Project, which reduces the risk of wildfire, improves water quality, and restores wildlife habitat along our urban riparian corridor, and organized the Silver City Pick It Up – Toss No Más campaign to keep Silver City's neighborhoods clean and beautiful. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters of our work!
